Sea Aquarium

The sea aquarium gives an impression of the sea as a nature area. You will discover the characteristic fish per habitat (such as the North Sea, the Wadden Sea, rocky coasts). Next to each aquarium, you will find a presentation of the uniqueness of the marine nature: who are the champions of the Wadden Sea, what is the toxic weever and who are successful immigrants.
Skeletons
Models and skeletons of large marine inhabitants hang from the ceiling, such as a killer whale, a sun fish, a humpback whale and a huge shark. You can read all about seals on the mezzanine and watch them swimming underwater.

Hoofd Dierverzorging - Het leeft en beweegt op de afdeling dierverzorging van Ecomare en deze dynamiek bevalt me zeer. We verzorgen de dieren, informeren het publiek en iedere werkdag heeft weer een nieuwe verrassing in petto zoals een stranding van een zeehond, een bruinvis of de opvang van een bijzondere vogel.
