Sea Aquarium


Young thornback rays born in Ecomare

The sea aquarium gives an impression of the sea as a nature area. You will discover the characteristic fish per habitat (such as the North Sea, the Wadden Sea, rocky coasts). Next to each aquarium, you will find a presentation of the uniqueness of the marine nature: who are the champions of the Wadden Sea, what is the toxic weever and who are successful immigrants.

Skeletons


Models and skeletons of large marine inhabitants hang from the ceiling, such as a killer whale, a sun fish, a humpback whale and a huge shark. You can read all about seals on the mezzanine and watch them swimming underwater.

Dierverzorging - Mijn werk is een combinatie van dierverzorger en fotograaf. Fotograferen is een grote hobby van me, en in de loop der jaren ben ik voor Ecomare veel gaan fotograferen. Ik heb, al zeg ik het zelf, de ideale baan.  Als dierverzorger zorg ik ervoor dat de levende have op Ecomare zoals de vogels, de vissen en de zeehonden, goed verzorgd wordt.
