Mysella bidentata

The Mysella bidentata is a small bivalve. They usually live in the vicinity of starfish species (particularly Astropecten) and piddocks. They profit from the food that these larger marine animals gather. Mysellas are sensitive to oil pollution.

    Mysellas are common in the North Sea and tidal waters and reach their greatest density near the Frisian Front and the Oystergrounds.
