Geology and history of the wadden region

This chapter gives an overview of the (geological) history of the coast and the wadden region. The emphasis lies on the bottom, the climate (sea-level rising, tidal floods) and man (history). The story begins with the oldest characteristic still found in the landscape, the boulder clay, and with the end of the last glacial period. This is followed by the subjects listed below:
