Agriculture for market segments

Most farmers produce for the 'world market': in theory, their products can be sold all over the world for the lowest possible price. A growing number of farmers aim more for products with extra quality, which can be sold for a higher price. Some known examples are farmers cheese and local quality bread. On a larger scale, there are the Fair Trade products, Ecological Farming (SKAL mark of quality) and the Biological-Dynamic farming (Demeter mark of quality). Recent developments are the Agro-Environment-mark of quality (for potatoes, carrots, etc) and the wadden products.
