A growing number of companies in the wadden region have joined together in bringing environmentally friendly products on the market from the local vicinity, under the waddengoud logo. The development began with agrarian products, but has now expanded to certain sectors of the tidal fisheries, salt exploitation, sustainable energy products and an increasing number of companies in retail and hotel and catering. Dairy farmers in the wadden region joined forces in 2006 to bring extra healthy milk containing a high level of healthy fatty acids onto the market.
