Anchor seine fisheries and fly-shooting
You have a buoy with an anchor and a long heavy rope. The anchor is thrown overboard and you let the rope unreel as you slowly motor away. You then knot a large net to the rope which contains another long rope. You throw the net overboard and motor in a large arch back to the buoy. When you pull in the two ropes simultaneously, the ropes herd the fish into the net. This method is used to catch flatfish and was especially popular by Danish coastal fishermen for a long time. They call this technique 'snurrevaad'. The method is also known as Danish seining.
