Mining at sea

In this general chapter concerning mining at sea, the following subjects are discussed: general production data, prospecting methods, drilling platforms, pipelines and pollution caused by offshore activities. A separate chapter handles the exploitation of gas, oil and other minerals. Policy concerning mining and the various organizations which are active in this sector are discussed in separate chapters.
