It Fryske Gea

It Fryske Gea is an environmental group dedicated to nature protection in the Dutch province of Friesland. A good environment with clean air, clean water and sufficient space is high on their list of goals. These aspects are continually being crowded out due to human activities. Therefore, It Fryske Gea attempts to give nature more chances by enlarging existing nature areas or by connecting areas together. It Fryske Gea does not only manage existing nature. It also works on nature development. In this way, more nature is created and links can be made between nature areas. This is how It Fryske Gea works on producing a healthy environment for man, plant and animal. It Fryske Gea has more than 19,000 members.
