Ferry services
All Wadden Islands are accessible via ferries. Sylt and Rømø have dams with the mainland, but also have small ferry connections. The ferries between the mainland and the islands are run by large companies. Connections between the islands themselves are often run by smaller season-bonded companies. The ferry services in the Dutch wadden region run on a schedule while those in the Niedersachsen area depart according to the tides.
