Red-fish

Red-fish like cold, deep waters south of the North Pole. This sort is fished on a large scale in that area. Every once in awhile, they are also caught in the northern North Sea. They can grow to 1 meter long and eat fish (small cod species, herring). The Norway haddock is a different sort found in shallower water, and is more often caught than the red-fish in the northern North Sea. Norway haddock do not grow any larger than 35 centimeters.

  • Habitat

Small red-fish are fish from deeper waters. Only in the darkness at great depths are they really red. In aquaria, due to the daylight, they are much paler.
