Spotted ray
The spotted ray is an extremely rare, small ray species. In the southern North Sea, this species is mostly found along the English coast. A second population lives to the south of the Shetland Islands. They can grow to 80 centimeters in length. The young animals eat shrimp, older spotted ray will also eat larger crustaceans, worms and fish.
