Sand-smelt
Sand-smelt was common in the Dutch coastal waters, but it is continually growing more rare. It is a small fish: maximum 21 centimeters long. It eats zooplankton and crustaceans. This fish grows very slowly, except in the period between July and October. Their spawning season is in June and July
