Greenland shark

The Greenland shark is an inhabitant of the deep North Pole seas. It is an omnivore, and caught only every once in a while in the North Sea. This large shark (max. 6.5 meters) is fished by the pole inhabitants for its oil. The meat contains so much vitamin A that it is dangerous to eat it raw. The Inuit feed the dried meat from the Greenland shark to their pole dogs. The skin is processed into strong leather.
