Beetles

Beetles are extremely small to very large insects and have two pairs of wings. The front pair is hard and leathery, the back wings are membranous and are folded up under the front wings. The mouth parts are almost always snappy. Beetles form the largest order of insects. There are around 3800 species alone in the Netherlands.
