Migrant hawker
The migrant hawker is a common dragonfly found in coastal areas and on the Wadden Islands. Its larvae even develop in brackish water. The migrant hawker often migrates in large swarms. In late summer with lots of warm easterly winds, thousands of these dragonflies assemble on the Wadden Islands before migrating further.
