Molluscs

There are three large groups of molluscs which play an important role in the marine environment: the bivalves, the snails and the cuttlefish. Thanks to these animals, we find shells on the beach: valve halves from the bivalves, snail houses from the snails and carapaces from the cuttlefish. In addition to these large groups, there are smaller groups such as the chitons. Many species of molluscs are very tasty, for both man and animal.
