Gentian family
Aren’t gentians lovely blue mountain flowers? True, but they also grow in lowlands along the coast. Some species have those large blue blossoms, others are small and inconspicuous. Some gentians even have very tiny yellow or pink flowers! Just like their family members in high elevations, 'our' gentians also grow in open sunny areas.
