Rose family
Apples, plums and hawthorns all belong to the rose family. Just like the rose itself, of course. The dunes color white and pink in late spring and turn red from the fruits in the autumn. The juicy fruits on the branches are very important for migrating birds. They give them the necessary energy to make their long voyage south.
