Willow-herb family

The willow-herb family, also known as the evening primrose family, is a large family made up of herbs, shrubs and trees. The perennial species tend to reproduce with root suckers, shoots which later become new plants. Some of the most notable members of this family found in the Netherlands are fireweed and fuchsias. Some willow-herb species are native to Europe, while others were imported centuries ago.
