Oosterschelde

The Oosterschelde is an estuary in Zeeland, between Schouwen-Duiveland and Tholen in the north and North and Beveland in the south. It used to be the eastern arm of the river Schelde, but due to storm, lost land and later land reclamation, it was disconnected from the mother river. In the meantime, it is protected on the sea side by a storm flood barrier.
