Veerse Meer (Lake Veere)

The Veerse Meer used to be a sea channel between North Beveland and Walcheren, but became a brackish water lake in 1961 as part of the Delta Works. The lake is very popular among tourists, thanks to the aquatic opportunities ranging from sailing and wind surfing to fishing and swimming.
