Dutch North Sea policy
The national policy for the North Sea is primarily found in the North Sea Plan of Action and the 'Beheersvisie' (Management vision) Noordzee 2010. A lot of attention to the North Sea is also found in the Fifth Note for Environmental Planning. Because the North Sea is primarily a nature area, the ecosystem goals will play an ever larger role in the future concerning policy. The Coastguard plays an important role in executing North Sea policy and enforcing the regulations.
