Support the seals and Ecomare
Zeehondenopvang
Ecomare vangt zeehonden op die aanspoelen langs de Noord-Hollandse kust en op Texel. Het gaat hierbij vooral om jonge dieren die hun moeder zijn kwijtgeraakt of ziek of verzwakt zijn. Het aantal zeehonden dat aanspoelt neemt de laatste jaren sterk toe. Er worden nu jaarlijks 70-80 zeehonden opgevangen. Na herstel worden ze weer vrijgelaten in zee.
Naast de opvang is er bij Ecomare een vaste groep van zo'n 20 zeehonden.

PR - Met Marion doe ik de donateuradmini-stratie: wij onderhouden het adressenbestand, registreren betalingen en versturen post. Ik span mij nu in voor de zeehonden - mijn moeder deed dat in de jaren dertig al: zij had toen thuis een huiler die zij zelf verzorgde. Die zeehond is later naar Artis gegaan want Ecomare bestond nog niet. Via haar verhalen is de liefde voor dieren overgeslagen op mij.
