Questions concerning tickets
- I have a free ticket, can I come visit when I like?
No, you need a time slot. You can reserve your time slot on the ticket page. Bring your free ticket along with your time slot when visiting.
- Do I need to buy a time slot for a child younger than 4 years old?
No, that’s not necessary. Children 3 years and younger are free and are included in the time slot of the group to which they belong.
- Is a ticket only valid for a 30-minute visit?
No, There is no end time to the ticket. You can decide yourself how long you stay. Only the time of arrival is fixed, you are welcome to enter within a half hour of your time slot.
- I can’t pay online. How do I buy a ticket?
Unfortunately, it is momentarily necessary to purchase tickets ahead of time via the website.
- I bought a ticket but I am sick / someone in my group is sick. What must I do?
If someone in your group is sick or not feeling well, you must cancel your visit. Contact Ticketcounter via the telephone number in your confirmation letter. There is a fee of €2.50 for administration costs.
- I am supervising a disabled person. Can we use the same time slot?
No, everyone older than 3 years needs their own time slot ticket.
Questions concerning the visit – what is there to do, how does it work?
- What time are the feeding presentations?
In order to avoid crowds around the basins, there will be no feeding presentations.
- Is the restaurant open?
Ecomare’s restaurant is momentarily open.
- Are the restrooms open?
There are two restrooms inside the museum and one in the main hall, each with an area to change diapers There is also a restroom for disabled in the main hall and in the museum.
- Can I wash my hands during my visit?
Yes, you can wash your hands in the restrooms. In addition, hand disinfectant is available at various spots in the museum.
- I can’t walk stairs, can I see everything?
That is not a problem. Ecomare is fully accessible for disabled people. When stairs are encountered along the route, there is an elevator available.
- Are there extra activities during the holidays?
Unfortunately, due the 1.5 meter regulation, there will be no extra activities organized in the museum during the holidays.
- Can I park by Ecomare?
The parking lot at Ecomare is open. In addition, there are three extra spaces for disabled by the front door. Should the parking lot be full, you can always park by the beach parking lot, just further up the road. Keep the necessary 1.5-meter distance from others when getting in and out of the car. A parking ticket is required, to be purchased at the parking lot or via texelevignet.nl.
- Can I see everything in the museum?
The museum route leads you through the entire museum, inside and outside. At the entrance to an exhibit, you can estimate whether or not it’s not too crowded to enter. If it’s too crowded, you can visit the exhibit later on. We request everyone to avoid busy areas.
- How long is a visit?
There is no end time to the ticket. You can decide yourself how long you stay. Only the time of arrival is fixed, you are welcome to enter within a half hour of your time slot.
- What are the opening hours?
The normal opening hours are momentarily valid: daily from 9:30 A.M. to 5 P.M. It is possible that the hours will be extended to give more people an opportunity to visit Ecomare.
- Do I need to wear a face mask?
No, it is not mandatory to wear a face mask anymore.
Questions concerning other reasons to want to enter
- I have found something on the beach and would like to know what it is. Can I ask at the reception desk?
You can ask questions at the gift shop. When you have found something, you can also take a picture and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. The curator will answer your question.
- I need to deliver something. Can I enter the main hall?
For deliveries, you can use the back (employees) entrance. If no one sees or hears you, then you can telephone us (+31 (0)222 317741) to let us know you are standing at the back door and someone will meet you there.
