At Ecomare, we believe it is important that everyone can enjoy the museum in a pleasant and safe environment. That is why we have established house rules for visitors. You can find them clearly listed here.
- We ask visitors to wear appropriate clothing when visiting the museum; swimwear is not permitted.
- Children under the age of 13 are welcome at Ecomare when accompanied by an adult.
- Running and shouting are not permitted in the museum or on the grounds.
- Pushcarts, balance bikes and (stunt) scooters are not permitted in the museum; there is space to store them in the cloakroom, at your own risk.
- Visitors must treat our collection, the building and the outdoor area with care; visitors are liable for any damage they cause.
- Clearly recognisable, certified assistance dogs are welcome in the museum; other animals are not.
- Visitors who are unable to move around the museum independently may bring one companion free of charge upon presentation of a valid companion card or doctor’s certificate.
- Food and drink are not permitted in the museum or the museum shop. They are permitted in the restaurant and/or outside; bringing your own food into the restaurant is not permitted.
- The entire museum and outdoor area are smoke-free; e-cigarettes are also not permitted.
- Ticket sales end at 4.30 p.m., as the museum closes at 5 p.m.
- Have you lost something in the museum? We keep lost property for a maximum of two months.
- There is CCTV surveillance in both the museum and the outdoor area. The recordings are stored temporarily by Ecomare.
